If you are a busy Samsung user, then you probably already know the benefits of Samsung Pay. Samsung Pay helps users turn their phone into a mobile wallet, providing them with access to their existing credit, debit, or gift cards on any contactless reader. But like any mobile wallet, you must follow a few important steps to ensure that your cards are safe and secure. How Do I Set Up Samsung Pay on My Device?

Before you set up Samsung Pay on your Samsung devices, you will first want to verify that you card has been activated. If you have recently received your debit or credit card from Amplify, please follow the activation instructions included with the card. Once your card is active, you can add it to Samsung Pay on a device of your choosing by following these three simple steps.

Step One: Open the Samsung Pay App

For most Samsung users, setting up Samsung Pay starts with opening the app preloaded onto your phone. In some rare instances, though, an Amplify member may be forced to redownload the app. You can do this by searching for "Samsung Pay" in the Google Play store or by clicking on this link. 

Once you open Samsung Pay, you'll need to click Get started to begin the authorization process. Your first step will be enter and confirm a PIN for your Samsung Pay account.

Step Two: Add Card Type

To add a new debit card to your mobile wallet, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Select the Menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select the Add cards button on the following screen.
  • Select the Add credit/debit card button on the following menu.

From here, follow the steps outlined by Samsung Pay to add a new card to your wallet. Please note that your wallet can hold a maximum of ten (10) debit cards and/or gift cards, but an unlimited number of gift cards.

Step Three: Add Biometric Security

While it is not required to bank with Samsung Pay, Amplify recommends that you add an extra layer of biometric security to your app. This requires you to authorize your phone's existing fingerprint or iris verification for the Samsung Pay app.

  • Select the Menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
  • Select the Settings option in the drop-down menu.
  • Toggle on the Fingerprint or Iris option from the Setting menu.

Step Four: Confirm Your Account With Amplify

Some members may be required to contact our help center to finalize Samsung Pay. If this applies to you, please call our Contact Center at (512) 836-5901. Our team will review your request to link your Samsung account to your Amplify debit card.
