Amplify Credit Union (“Amplify”) is committed to protecting your information and your privacy extends to your online banking. This notice explains how we may collect information from you online when you visit the Amplify website and how we may protect and use that information. General principles applicable to Amplify’s online services include:
- Our online services are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without parental consent.
- Our mobile and social media sites or pages may have additional terms about the privacy of your information. Please review the privacy policy or notice for the specific online service you are using.
- Our online services are intended for a U.S. audience.
What personal information does Amplify collect online?
Amplify may collect Personal Information that you provide when you apply for or obtain a product or service from us or use our online services. This Personal Information may include your name, social security number, postal or email addresses, telephone or mobile numbers, as well as your account numbers. Please refer to our Privacy Notice Disclosure for an explanation on how we use and share Personal Information.
What other information does Amplify collect online?
“Other Information” is any information other than Personal Information, such as browser information, information collected through cookies, pixel tags, web beacons and other technologies, demographic information, the IP address of the device you are using to connect to the online service or site, the type of operating system and browser you use, information about the site you came from, the parts of our online service or site you access, and the site you visit next. Amplify and our third party service providers also may collect and store other information you volunteer to us (such as survey feedback or contact information) when accessing or utilizing Amplify’s websites, mobile sites or social media.
How does Amplify collect other information?
“Other Information” is any information other than Personal Information, such as browser information, information collected through cookies, pixel tags, web beacons and other technologies, demographic information, the IP address of the device you are using to connect to the online service or site, the type of operating system and browser you use, information about the site you came from, the parts of our online service or site you access, and the site you visit next. Amplify and our third party service providers also may collect and store other information you volunteer to us (such as survey feedback or contact information) when accessing or utilizing Amplify’s websites, mobile sites or social media.
- Through your browser or device. Certain information is collected by most browsers and/or through your device, such as the device type, screen resolution, operating system version, and internet browser type and version. This information is used to help ensure that our websites function properly, that information is displayed in a useful manner on your device, and for fraud detection and security purposes.
- Cookies. Cookies are small amounts of information stored directly on the device you use to access our site(s). Cookies provide a means for websites that you visit to track browsing activities conducted with your device, such as browser type, pages and content viewed, the time and duration of visits, search queries entered into search engines, and whether the user of your device clicked on an advertisement. In addition to cookies, there are other devices and technology for tracking online activity including Flash objects, pixel tags, Web beacons, HTTP headers or other communications protocols, and mobile signals and identifiers. These devices may be used for many purposes, including site traffic reporting, unique visitor counts, advertising auditing and reporting, and personalization of a website. Such devices also may be used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, to compile statistics regarding traffic to our sites, to personalize your experience while visiting our websites and using our products and services, for advertising, for security purposes, and other operational purposes.
- IP Address. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to a device by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Collecting IP Addresses is a standard practice on the internet and is done automatically by many websites, including Amplify’s sites and those of our third party service providers.
Does Amplify allow third-party advertising?
Amplify advertises online and offline, through our websites and mobile applications as well as through other sites and mobile apps not affiliated with Amplify. We also may contract with third parties to deliver advertisements and monitor activities on our own and other websites. When browsing the internet, you may see a banner ad for an Amplify product or service such as an auto loan. These ads may appear on your browser’s sites, or other non-Amplify websites. Our third party providers may use cookies or other technology to serve ad banners to websites we’ve paid to advertise our products or services.
Amplify may use the Other Information to help advertise our products and services and to:
- Present tailored ads to you;
- Analyze the effectiveness of our ads; and
- Determine whether you may be interested in new or other products or services, including products and services offered by parties other than Amplify.
Amplify tailors our ads to you as follows:
- Relationship-based advertising. Amplify may use information about your relationship with us (such as types of accounts or transactions) to determine which advertisements or offers to present to you.
- Online behavioral advertising. Amplify or our third party advertising service providers may use the Other Information we have collected (such as pages visited on Amplify’s websites and key words searched, as well as your web-browsing activities over time), to deliver advertisements or marketing communications delivered to you. Our third party advertising services provider may set cookies or use related tracking technologies (such as Clear GIFs, pixel tags, or web beacons) to assist in delivering advertisements that are tailored to you or your personal profile (such as demographic or location information).
The companies that distribute our ads are prohibited by contract from using information other than for the agreed upon purpose – to help us market our products and services and to measure response rates.

How does Amplify use mobile applications?
Amplify’s Mobile Banking Application allows you to access your account balances, deposit checks, make transfers, receive alerts, manage cards, and pay bills on your mobile device in accordance with our Online Banking and Remote Deposit Capture Agreements. These U.S. Online Privacy Practices applies to any Personal or Other Information that we may collect through the Mobile Banking Application.

How does Amplify link to non-Amplify websites?
Our websites may include links to third-party websites. These third parties are not subject to our U.S. Online Privacy Practices or to the Amplify Privacy Notice. Whenever you visit a third-party website, you should review its privacy notice and other website policies before providing information to the third party website. Amplify is not responsible for nor does it monitor, review or control such third party websites. Such third party websites may collect additional information and are likely to have privacy policies and online use notices and practices that differ from Amplify’s Privacy Notice and our Online Privacy Practices.
What are Amplify's security practices?
Amplify uses reasonable efforts, consistent with industry standards, to protect the Information you provide to us online from unauthorized access and use, and complies with federal law. How does Amplify protect children's online privacy?
Amplify encourages protection of children’s information on the internet. We will not intentionally collect personal information from children under 16 on our website without first obtaining consent from their parents or legal guardians.
