Need to transfer money to a member at Amplify Credit Union? With our Member to Member feature, you can quickly and securely complete these transactions within online banking. In this section, we walk you through the steps needed to link your Amplify account to that of another member.

Key Takeaways:

  • You can transfer money to another Amplify member using the Member to Member feature under the transactions menu in online banking.

How do I transfer money to another member?

Thanks to our online banking portal, it is easier than ever to send money to another credit union member. The two primary steps are as follows:

  1. Collect the account number and last name of the member as it appears on their Amplify statements.
  2. Initiate a transfer or link these two accounts using our "Member to Member" feature in the Transactions menu.

In the next sections, we'll break down these two steps even further.

Step One: Collect the Recipient's Member Information

To transfer money to a member, you will need to know the following information:

  • The full account number for the destination checking or savings account.
  • The first three letters of the recipient's last name as it appears on their Amplify statements.

These steps are designed to prevent members from transferring funds to the wrong account. To ensure your information matches our records, have the other member verify their data directly in online banking. This process will also prevent errors from holding up a member transfer.

Step Two: Initiate a Transfer

Like the "Add External Account" feature, the Member to Member feature can be located under Transactions in the online banking sidebar. This feature will allow you to initiate a one-time transfer between Amplify accounts.

You can also link the two accounts by clicking on the Link Account button. Once the accounts have been connected, you will be able to easily transfer funds between your account and your linked accounts using the Funds Transfer feature. Please note that you will be required to accept the Terms and Conditions the first time you access this feature.

Once you have completed your transfer, you will see a confirmation window with the transfer information. From there, you can use the "Activity Center" feature - also located under "Transactions" - to view or cancel the transfer.
